The Rocori softball team plays in the section 6AA finals tonight at Whitney Field in St. Cloud at 5pm against Albany. Rocori needs to beat Albany twice while Albany needs just 1 win to advance to the state tournament. A second game, if needed, will be played immediately following the first game.

The Cathedral baseball team has the best chance of all St. Cloud area baseball and softball programs at advancing to the state tournament. The Crusaders are the top seed in East Sub-Section 6AA and will open the playoffs tonight against Holdingford at Dick Putz Field. Cathedral's toughest tests will likely come from Little Falls, Albany, Rocori or Paynesville.

With the Twins struggling and coming off a disappointing winter sports season from the Timberwolves, Wild and Gophers we need something positive on the sports scene. Look local to Sauk Rapids-Rice, Apollo, Rocori and Cathedral baseball. All 4 have a shot to make a run at the state tournament and Cathedral had been ranked #1 in the state in Class 2A.
