The St. Cloud Rox lost 10-5 at Mankato Friday night. Mankato scored 5 runs in the 2nd inning and never trailed in their win over St. Cloud. Tony Mollica allowed 6 runs (4 earned) in 2 innings to take the loss for the Rox. Boo Vazquez and Adam Martin each had 2 hits and 2 runs scored and both Travis Enger and Ryan Kiesel had 2 hits and 1 RBI for St. Cloud. Will Huff hit a solo homerun for the Rox.

Two time-Cy Young Award winner Bret Saberhagen will be the guest of the Rox that night and will sign autographs, take pictures with fans and throw out the ceremonial first pitch. Saberhagen played 16 major league seasons and won Cy Young Award while with the Royals in 1985 and 1989.

Former Major League Baseball star pitcher Bret Saberhagen will be the guest of the St. Cloud Rox for their home opener on June 2. Saberhagen will throw out the first pitch at Joe Faber Field against Mankato at 7:05 on June 2. He pitched 16 seasons in the Major Leagues with the Kansas City Royals, New York Mets, Colorado Rockies and Boston Red Sox. Saberhagen won a Cy Young Award in the American League while with the Royals in 1985. He was 20-6 with a 2.87 ERA in 1985 and helped the Royals win a World Series over the St. Louis Cardinals.
