Johnnie Basketball Upsets Augsburg in MIAC Tourney

The St. John's basketball team won 47-45 in Minneapolis against Augsburg Wednesday night in the MIAC tournament quarterfinals. The Johnnies are seeded 5th while Augsburg is seeded 4th. Andy Burns made the buzzer beater to lift the Johnnies to the win. Burns finished with 14 points and Aaron Barmore had 10 points and 10 rebounds for St. John's.

Johnnie Basketball Falls to Bethel

Bethel beat St. John's 67-63 Wednesday night. Andy Burns led the Johnnies with 18 points, Aaron Barmore added 13 points and Seth Marx added 11 points. Bethel out-rebounded the Johnnies 33-25.

The St. John's basketball team saw their 6-game win streak get snapped with a 63-49 loss at Gustavus Wednesday night. St. John's trailed by 11 at halftime and shot just 33 percent from the field for the game. Andy Burns led the Johnnies with 20 points and Chris Neumann added 10 points for St. John's.

Johnnie Basketball Pounds MN-Morris

The St. John's basketball team defeated Minnesota-Morris 73-58 Thursday night in a non-conference game. Andy Burns led the Johnnies with 21 points and Patrick Butcher added 14 points for St. John's. The Johnnies shot 55 percent while turning the ball over just 9 times. Morris had 23 turnovers.
