The Twins will have a decision to make when 2nd baseman/shortstop Tsuyoshi Nishioka returns from a broken leg. Nishioka is close and could be back within a couple of weeks. When that happens the Twins have to decide if Nishioka is a 2nd baseman or shortstop and if Plouffe stays or Casilla stays.

The season began with the Twins concerned about the bullpen and shortstop. Just 11 games in the concerns about the bullpen are not there. Joe Nathan has been solid after a bad outing to open the season. He is 3 for 3 in save opportunities and has his velocity up to 93 MPH. Matt Capps has looked real good and Glen Perkins and Dusty Hughes have been consistent.

The Twins have agreed to a 1-year contract with middle infielder Alexi Casilla worth $865,000 contract avoiding salary arbitration. The agreement was announced Sunday.
