November 22, 2011 Viking running back Adrian Peterson has a grade 1 high ankle sprain. The Vikings announced that yesterday. A grade 1 sprain is the least severe of the grades of ankle sprains. Peterson will be in a walking boot this week until Friday when the Vikings will see if he can do some football activities. Peterson has missed just 3 games in his 5-year NFL career.
November 21, 2011 Viking running back Adrian Peterson suffered a sprained ankle in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's 27-21 loss for the Vikings against Oakland. Peterson couldn't put any weight on the ankle and was carted off the field. X-rays on the ankle were negative but he'll have an MRI done on the ankle today.
November 15, 2011 The Vikings lost 45-7 at Green Bay against the Packers Monday night. Minnesota trailed 17-0 at halftime and the game got away from the Vikings in the 2nd half. Aaron Rodgers threw for 250 yards and 4 touchdowns for Green Bay. Christian Ponder was 16-34 passing for 190 yards with no touchdowns and 1 interception.
October 31, 2011 The Vikings earned their 2nd win of the season and their first road win 24-21 at Carolina Sunday afternoon. Minnesota got a 31-yard field goal from Ryan Longwell with 2:43 left to break a 21-all tie with Carolina. The Panthers had a chance to tie the game with :26 left when Olindo Mare missed a 31-yard field goal wide left.
October 28, 2011 The Vikings welcomed both running back Adrian Peterson and receiver Percy Harvin back to practice in a limited capacity Thursday. Peterson (ankle) missed practice Wednesday but was limited yesterday. Harvin (ribs) missed practice Wednesday but was limited yesterday. Peterson almost certainly will play at Carolina Sunday while Harvin is a little more questionable.

October 24, 2011 The Vikings lost at home to Green Bay 33-27 Sunday afternoon and fall to 1-6 on the season. Minnesota led 17-13 at halftime but was outscored 20-0 in the 3rd quarter. Minnesota staged a comeback in the 4th quarter with 10 straight points. Rookie Christian Ponder made his first NFL start and was 13-32 passing for 219 yards and 2 touchdowns with 2 interceptions.

October 12, 2011 Viking running back Adrian Peterson won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award for this past week. He ran for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns for the Vikings in the win over Arizona Sunday. Peterson has run for 498 yards and 6 touchdowns this season in 5 games for the Vikings. he is averaging 4.5 yards per carry.
October 9, 2011 The Vikings downed the Arizona Cardinals 34-10 Sunday afternoon to earn their first win of the season at Mall of America Field. Adrian Peterson had a huge day for the Vikings with 3 first quarter touchdown runs. Peterson finished with 29 carries for 122 yards and 3 touchdowns. Donavan McNabb was 10-21 passing for 169 yards with a rushing score. Devin Aromashadu started for Bernard Berrian and had 2 catches for 81 yards. Berrian was healthy scratch.
