Timberwolves guard/forward Chase Budinger had successful surgery Tuesday to repair a torn lateral meniscus in his left knee.  Budinger sustained the injury Saturday in a loss at Chicago.  Budinger was averaging 11.8 points a game for the Wolves this season.

The Timberwolves are already playing without Kevin Love (broken hand), Ricky Rubio (torn ACL), J.J. Barea (strained foot) Brandon Roy (sore right knee) and possibly Nikola Pekovic (sprained ankle).  Barea, Roy and Pekovic could be back as early as tonight.

The Wolves host Charlotte at 7pm tonight, pregame on WJON at 6:30.  Minnesota is 5-2 while Charlotte is 3-3 on the season.
