With Minneapolis expected to get a wintry mix of snow and ice this afternoon, the Twins have announced the postponement of Sunday's game against the New York Mets at Target Field. The game will be made up on the teams' mutual off day of August 19th.

Minnesota is 4-7 on the season and could probably use today's unplanned day off to figure out how to snap a five game losing streak. The Twins are scheduled to host the Angels at Target Field Monday night.

The Mets were already scheduled for an off day Monday, so they should be plenty rested for a Tuesday game in Denver with the surprising Rockies. New York is 7-4 overall on the season.
