The St. John's hockey team won a back and forth affair with Gustavus Adolphus by a 3-2 final score Saturday night at the NHEC.

St. John's took the game's first lead on a power play goal from junior Jason Johnson,  his eighth of the year.

The Gusties answered back early in the second period at 2:12 on a Schuyler Adams goal.

Savage native Nick Senta scored for SJU just over four minutes later with a power play tally that made the score 2-1 at the second intermission.

Gustavus tied the game at two with an Andy Pearson goal on a two-on-one breakaway early in the third period.

With just over three minutes remaining, Justin Hochsprung buried a rebound past Gustie goalie Tyler Venne for the game-winner.

The Johnnies will play at Wisconsin-Eau Claire at 7 pm Wednesday.
