Soccer Section Semifinal Results

GIRLS:

The Sartell-St. Stephen Sabres and the Cathedral Crusaders will meet Thursday for the Class A Section 8 Championship after earning wins in their respective games Tuesday night.

Top-seeded Cathedral beat two-seed Detroit Lakes 2-0 at Husky Stadium under rain and windy conditions, while Sartell-St. Stephen upset the North’s top seed in Alexandria by a 3-2 score.

Thursday’s game will kick off at 7:30 pm at Husky Stadium.

BOYS:

Second seed Apollo earned a trip to the section final Thursday with a 2-1 win over Hillcrest/Pelican Rapids in Fergus Falls, while Sartell-St. Stephen rocked Bemidji 5-1 to reach the final.

Apollo and Sartell will play for the Class A Section 8 title Thursday at 5:30 at Husky Stadium.
