Shiancoe To Miss Another Preseason Game

The Vikings play their final preseason game Thursday night at home against the Houston Texans at 7pm Thursday, pregame on WJON at 6:00.  They will likely play without tight end Visanthe Shiancoe who has missed the 3 previous preseason games with a strained hamstring.  Joining Shiancoe on the sidelines Thursday with injuries are right guard Chris DeGeare (concussion), linebacker Jasper Brinkley (hip), cornerbacks Asher Allen (toe), Devon Torrence (quad), Chris Cook (hamstring) and running back Lorenzo Booker (back).

Brinkley saw a hip specialist and could be sidelined a long period of time and could be played on injured reserve ending his season.  Kevin Williams (plantar fasciitis) did some running on the side at practice Tuesday but isn't expected to play Thursday.
