The St. Cloud State men's hockey team opened the road portion of their schedule with a 4-2 win over Colgate in New York. Nick Oliver scored a pair of points and had the game winning goal for the Huskies.

Cory Thorson started the scoring for SCSU with just over seven minutes remaining in the first period from Brooks Bertsch and Nick Oliver.

Freshman Ryan Papa notched his first collegiate goal for the Huskies early in the second period for a 2-0 Huskies lead.

A late Colgate goal made the score 2-1 in favor of St. Cloud State at the second intermission.

Colgate scored again to tie the game at 15:20 of the third period with a goal from Tyson Spink.

The Huskies responded quickly, and Oliver scored the eventual game winner for the Huskies at 15:46 of the third period to make the score 3-2.

Jonny Brodzinski scored an empty net goal, his first in the season, to cap the scoring.
