FAYETTE - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team had an exciting comeback victory on Saturday night, taking down Upper Iowa 97-94 to earn a weekend split.

St. Cloud State was down by as much as 19 in the first half. Damarius Cruz would tie the game 77-77 with a free throw 12 minutes into the second half.

The Huskies shot 54.1 percent from the field in the contest. Cruz led all players with a career high 28 points. Jordan Poydras added 21 points, six rebounds, six assists and four steals during the action.

St. Cloud State earned a weekend road split with the win. The Huskies are now 17-7 overall and 13-7 in the NSIC.

SCSU will return home next weekend to host the University of Minnesota Crookston and Bemidji State University.
