Cathedral Activities Director Emmett Keenan hosted this week's edition of the Saturday Morning Coaches' Show on AM 1390 The Fan.

Keenan spoke to five coaches this week about their respective teams, with the spotlight on girls hockey and boys basketball.

Sartell-Sauk Rapids-Rice Stormin' Sabres head coach Marty Anderson's team is 11-3-2 this season and coming off of a 3-2 win against Willmar. The Stormin' Sabres will take on rival St. Cloud on Friday night.

The St. Cloud Ice Breakers are off to an excellent 13-1-1 start, including a 7-0 mark in Central Lakes Conference Play. Coach Mark Chamernick's team's lone loss of the season was all the way back in their first contest, a 5-2 setback against Holy Family Catholic. The Ice Breakers won 6-4 at Fergus Falls on January 9th in their most recent game.

Switching gears to boys basketball, coach Mike Trewick has guided the Tech Tigers to an 11-2 record overall and perfect 8-0 record in Central Lakes Conference play, good for first place. Tech has won six games in a row, including a 57-53 win at Alexandria on Friday night.

Coach Nate Guetter's ROCORI Spartans are off to a 1-12 start to the season (1-6 in CLC play). The Spartans have lost four in a row heading into this week's action, most recently falling 70-50 at Fergus Falls on Friday night.

Marcus Oistad has the Sabres at 6-6 so far in the coaches' rookie campaign since taking over for Sartell-St. Stephen legend Dave Angell. The Sabres beat Albany 53-41 on Saturday in their most recent game.
