Sartell - St. Stephen -- At halftime Rogers was leading 7-0 over Sartell. Both teams were looking to take control in the second half of the game to control the tempo and rhythm of the it as well.

Rogers was first to get on the board in the third quarter with a 2 yard run from Jarrett Flander for a touchdown would make the score 14-0. Sartell would get on the board in the third quarter as well with a 4 yard touchdown pass from Chris Belling to Mitchell Zayas cut the deficit to 14-7.

In the fourth quarter it would take until there was 2:28 minutes left in the game before someone would score. Rogers kicker Matt Becker would it a 25 yard field goal to make the game 17-7. Sartell would answer back by getting down quickly with a 35 yard reception from Devin Vouk to make it first and goal. Sartell would score then on a 5 yard pass from quarterback Belling to Ethan Stark to make the game 17-14. Rogers would recover the onside kick to seal the victory.

The final score Rogers 17 and Sartell 14. With the win Rogers moves to 1-0 to start the season and Sartell will move to 0-1 to start the season. Rogers will play Princeton at home next Friday. Sartell will play Saint Cloud Tech at Husky Stadium next Friday.
