The Kansas City Royals topped the Twins 10-3 Tuesday night at Target Field. The Twins have lost a remarkable 17 of their past 19 games.

Brian Dozier hit his 39th home run of the season in the first inning, placing him second in the American League behind only Baltimore's Mark Trumbo. Trevor Plouffe and Eddie Rosario also added home runs in the loss for Minnesota.

Kansas City pulled away with seven runs in the top of the ninth inning. Twins closer Brandon Kintzler allowed four runs on three hits and recorded only two outs, and Pat Light allowed three runs without recording an out.

The Twins host the Royals again Wednesday night. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. on AM 1240 WJON.
