ST. CLOUD -- The St. Cloud Rox couldn't hold an early lead and a late-inning error led to a run and a 2-1 loss to the last-place Alexandria Blue Anchors on Saturday.

The Rox only managed four hits in the game and their lone run was unearned as Alexandria pitcher Sean Terres was sharp through his six innings of work.

St. Cloud's Andrew Clemen was just as sharp -- allowing only one run on three hits through 6 1/3 innings.

With the game tied 1-1 in the eighth, an error by Rox shortstop Brandon Benson allowed Alexandria's Luke Petterson to score and give the Blue Anchors a 2-1 lead and eventual win.

The loss drops the Rox to 18-13 on the season. The Rox have today off before heading to Mankato to take on the MoonDogs tomorrow at 1:00 p.m.
