Rox Down Alexandria 11-4

The St. Cloud Rox won 11-4 at Alexandria Monday night.  St. Cloud scored 4 runs in the 1st inning and added 2 more runs in the 2nd.  Jamie Simpson went 3-5 with a run scored and 3 RBIs, Erik Kozel had a triple and 3 RBIs and Andy Henkemeyer was 3-6 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI for the Rox.  Lucas Long threw 8 innings with 9 hits and 4 earned runs allowed to get the win.

The Rox are 12-12 in the 2nd half of the season and 21-37 overall.  St. Cloud is 2 1/2 games back of Willmar for first place in the 2nd half North Division standings.  The Rox play at Alexandria again tonight at 7:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35. James Jensen is the expected starting pitcher for the Rox tonight.

The Rox begin a 9-game homestand Wednesday night.
