COLD SPRING -- After falling to the Apollo Eagles last week 27-15, the Rocori Spartans host the Fergus Falls Otters in their home opener.

Starting off with excellent field position, Spartan running back Alex Budde would take the hand off within a yard of the end zone.

Next play Quarterback Tim Hansen calls his own number and Rocori goes up 6-0.

Midway through the first quarter, Spartans back with the ball and Hansen's pass is picked off by Austin Rund and brought into the end zone for an Otter touchdown. Fergus Falls would lead 7-6 at the end of one.

Second quarter Otters hand the ball off to Adam Evenson who breaks a couple of tackles and takes it to the house for six. Otters lead 14-6 and that would be the score at half.

Rocori would get one more touchdown thanks to a run by Hansen, his second of the ball game, putting the Spartans within two points 14-12.

However, the running attack of the Otters was just too much for the Spartans defense to handle and Fergus Falls would win this game 33-12.

Rocori drops to 0-2 on the season and looks to bounce back on the road when they take on the St. Cloud Tech Tigers September 14th.
