River Bats Lose 7th Straight To Alexandria

The St. Cloud River Bats lost 9-1 to the Alexandria Beetles Monday night in Alexandria.  St. Cloud has lost 7 straight games and is 2-11 on the season.  Alexandria scored 4 1st inning runs and never trailed.  C.J. Gillman went 2-4 with 1 RBI and Mitch Garver was 2-4 for St. Cloud.  Jake Smith started the game for the Bats and threw 5 innings with 5 hits and 6 runs allowed to take the loss.  Only 2 of those runs were earned.  St. Cloud committed 3 errors in the game.  The Bats will host Brainerd tonight at 7:05, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:35.  It's ING Direct Bat Night at the ballpark tonight.  The first 500 fans 14 years of age or under will receive a 18 inch wood bat.
