Ravens Upset Patriots To Advance To Super Bowl
The Baltimore Ravens scored 21 second half points in just over ten minutes for a comeback, 28-13 win over the New England Patriots. This is the second trip to the Super Bowl in Ravens history, they defeated the Giants in 2001.
The Patriots held a 13-7 lead over the Ravens at halftime. Entering Sunday’s game, the Patriots with Tom Brady at quarterback were 67-0 all time when leading at the half.
Joe Flacco threw three touchdown passes for the Ravens in the second half, including two to Anquan Boldin to lead Baltimore to the AFC crown. Flacco finished with 240 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions.
Patriots quarterback Tom Brady threw interceptions on New England’s final two drives. Brady threw for 320 yards total but just one touchdown.
Baltimore and San Francisco will meet February 3rd at the Superdome in New Orleans for Super Bowl 47.
