The Spuds finished the regular season with a 5-3 record, and previously lost 27-20 at Apollo in week two. Moorhead upset Bemidji 28-21 at BSU on Tuesday night.
The Eagles finished the season as Central Lakes Conference South Division champions with a 6-2 record. Their successful regular season earned them a first round bye.
Tech vs Sartell-St Stephen 4:30 PM (AM 1390 The FAN)
Tech finished the regular season with a pair of losses, but padded their record by winning four of five to start the season. Their 5-3 record was good enough to get them a first round bye.
The Sabres might be the hottest team in the area at the moment, as coach Scott Hentges’ squad is currently riding a five game winning streak to put their record at 6-3. Sartell-St. Stephen topped winless Sauk Rapids-Rice 28-6 in the opening round of the playoffs.

The Spartans ended a tough regular season on a high note with a 16-15 win over Sauk Rapids-Rice in Cold Spring to finish 2-6. The Spartans rode that momentum into Little Falls, where the upset the Flyers 24-21 to open the section playoffs.
Thief River Falls earned a bye in the opening round of the postseason by posting a 6-2 record on the year. They have won their last three games by a combined 112-27 margin.
Mora @ Cathedral 7:30 PM @ SCSU
The Crusaders narrowly avoided a big upset in their playoff opener, topping Milaca 15-12 on a 75 yard touchdown pass from Jeff Fasching to Brady Yoerg with under ten minutes to play. Cathedral enters their semifinal matchup with the Mustangs at 5-4 overall.The Crusaders beat Mora 42-12 during the regular season.
Mora was just 1-7 during the regular season with their lone win coming in week five against Milaca. However, that didn't prevent the Mustangs from heading up north and upsetting Aitkin 22-8 in the section quarterfinals.
