MINNEAPOLIS -- The Pierz Pioneers capped off an undefeated season with a 36-8 win over Jackson County Central in the Class 3A State Championship game on Saturday.

The Pioneers (13-0) trailed 8-7 at the end of the first quarter before rattling off 29 unanswered points, including three straight touchdowns by Noah Boser.

In total, Pierz put up 426 yards on offense while holding Jackson County Central to under 300.
