Ponder To Start; Frazier To Make It Official Today

Viking head coach Leslie Frazier is expected to announce at a press conference today at 11:30am that rookie Christian Ponder will be the starting quarterback for the Vikings when they play at home against Green Bay on Sunday at 3:15, pregame on WJON at 2:00.  Hear today's press conference live on AM 1390-the Fan.  Multiple reports Tuesday indicated that Frazier had told both Ponder and veteran Donovan McNabb that Ponder will get the start.  McNabb threw for just 4 touchdowns with 2 interceptions in 6 games this season.

The Vikings are 1-5 while Green Bay is 6-0.  Green Bay is a 9-point favorite.
