Viking quarterback Christian Ponder missed practice for a 2nd straight day Thursday with a hip pointer injury while running back Adrian Peterson returned to practice with a high ankle sprain in his left ankle.  Ponder still hopes to play and will need to practice in some capacity today.  Peterson had missed the last 2 games games with a high ankle sprain and was limited in practice Thursday.

If Ponder cannot play then Joe Webb would get the start at quarterback.  If Peterson can't play then Toby Gerhart would receive the majority of the carries at running back.

The following players were also limited in practice; cornerback Asher Allen (shoulder), linebacker Chad Greenway (elbow), defensive end Everson Griffen (quadricep), receiver Percy Harvin (finger), defensive end Brian Robison (concussion) and tight end Visanthe Shiancoe (hand).

The Vikings play at Detroit Sunday at noon, pregame on WJON at 11am.
