Viking running back Adrian Peterson suffered a sprained ankle in the 2nd quarter of Sunday's 27-21 loss for the Vikings against Oakland.  Peterson couldn't put any weight on the ankle and was carted off the field.  X-rays on the ankle were negative but he'll have an MRI done on the ankle today.  No bones are broken but the Vikings are hopeful it's not the dreaded high ankle sprain.

Peterson has run for 846 yards and 10 touchdowns this season for Minnesota.  The Vikings play at Atlanta at noon Sunday, pregame on WJON at 11am.
