Orono Stops Apollo In Boys Basketball Section Playoff Game

The Orono Spartans topped the Apollo Eagles 62-42 in a Section 5AAA boys basketball playoff game at St. Cloud State University. The Eagles finish the season with a 15-12 record.

The Eagles shot the ball well in the first half to play their way to a halftime tie at 28. Apollo shot 10-22 (45.5%) in the opening half, including 6-10 from three-point range.

However, Apollo shot just 4-18 in the second half, however, and were able to connect on only one shot from behind the arc in eight attempts.

The Eagles were led by Cole Johnson with nine points, while Jeremy Koffi pulled down 12 rebounds.
