The Chicago White Sox beat the Minnesota Twins 3-0 Wednesday night at Target Field. Minnesota is now 0-8 on the season, while the Sox improve to 6-2.

Phil Hughes was charged with a loss despite a quality start. Hughes went 6.1 innings, allowing three runs on seven hits with seven strikeouts. The decisive blast was a two-run home run from the Sox Jerry Sands in the seventh inning.

The Twins managed just four hits in the game and were 0-6 with runners in scoring position.

The Twins wrap up their series with Chicago on Thursday afternoon. Ervin Santana will make his third start of the season for the Twins against the White Sox Mat Latos. The game can be heard on WJON beginning with the pregame show at 11:30 a.m.
