Oakland Beats Twins, Duensing 9-4
The Twins lost 9-4 Sunday afternoon to Oakland. The A's sweep the Twins in the 3-game series. Brian Duensing threw 2 innings with 7 hits and 6 earned runs allowed to take the loss and drop to 1-6. Ryan Doumit was 2-4 with a run scored and 1 RBI and Brian Dozier was 2-4 with 1 RBI. Oakland knocked out 4 homeruns and were led by Yoenis Cespedes who went 4-5 with a homerun and 3 RBIs for the A's.
The Twins fall to 36-52 and are now 13 games back of the White Sox for first place in the American League Central. Minnesota will host Baltimore to start a 4-game series tonight at 7:10, pregame on WJON at 6:40. Lefthander Scott Diamond (7-3) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Chris Tillman (1-0) toes the rubber for the Orioles.
