Michigan beat the Gophers 34-13 Saturday to keep the Little Brown Jug on their sideline again.  Minnesota scored the first touchdown of the game but trailed 14-7 at halftime.  Philip Nelson was 13-29 passing for 142 yards and 1 touchdown with no interceptions and 37 yards rushing.  Donnell Kirkwood led the Gophers rushing for 58 yards on 16 carries.

Devin Gardner started at quarterback for an injured Denard Robinson threw for for 2 touchdowns and ran for 1 for Michigan.  The Gophers fall to 1-4 in the Big Ten and 5-4 overall.  Minnesota will play at Illinois at 2:30 next Saturday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 1:30.
