The Twins will have 2 representatives at the Major League Baseball All Star game in New York tonight.  Joe Mauer will start at catcher and reliever pitcher Glen Perkins could come out of the bullpen for the American League.  Mauer is hitting .320 with 8 homeruns and 32 RBIs this season.  Perkins is 1-0 with a 1.82 ERA with 21 saves this season for Minnesota.

Detroit righthander Max Scherzer will start on the mound for the American League while the National League counters with righthander Matt Harvey.  Yoenis Cespedes of Oakland beat Bryce Harper of Washington in the Home Run Derby finals as part of the All Star festivities Monday night.
