The Twins lost their 11th straight game 5-4 Wednesday night at home against Seattle.  Kevin Slowey took a no-hitter into the 6th inning before being hit hard after that.  Slowey allowed 6 hits and 5 earned runs in 6 2/3 innings to take the loss and drop to 0-7.  Chris Parmelee went 3-4 with 1 RBI, Trevor Plouffe was 3-5 with 2 runs scored and 1 RBI and Michael Cuddyer was 3-5 with a run scored for the Twins.  Minnesota welcomed back Denard Span to the lineup after missing a large part of the season with concussion symptoms and migraine headaches.

He was 0-3 while starting in centerfield and batting lead-off.  The Twins will host Seattle again today at 12:10, pregame on WJON at 11:40.  Righthander Anthony Swarzak (3-7) gets the start on the mound for the Twins and righthander Blake Beaven (5-5) toes the rubber for the Mariners.
