The Granite City Lumberjacks defeated the Minnesota Flying Aces 4-0 Sunday afternoon to snap a two game losing skid. The 'Jacks are back in action December 31st following a short winter break.

Granite City outshot the Flying Aces 44-21 in the contest. The game was scoreless until Gavin Porter broke the deadlock with a goal at 4:39, followed by a Christian Mohs goal at 19:17 of the second for a 2-0 GC lead.

David Horsmann made it a 3-0 game with a goal at 1:44 of the third period, and Mohs capped the scoring with an empty net goal at 18:37. Lumberjacks goalie Austin Wilson earned the shutout with 21 saves.

Granite City enters the break with a 22-7 record on the season, good for second place behind North Iowa (23-1).
