Labor issues could very well wipe out the 2011-2012 NBA season, but a fledgling basketball league appears prepared to pick up the slack if Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and company aren’t allowed to hit the hardwood.

Okay, nobody’s really going to be watching the Lingerie Basketball League — which began its inaugural season over the weekend — for the quality of pick and rolls or fast breaks. But the four-team LBL’s promotional material does claim its scantily-clad players are “as tough on their opponents as easy on the eyes.”
