MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Twins woes continue as the team gets swept by the Detroit Tigers 8-5 this (Thursday) afternoon at Target Field.

Detroit's James McCann had a three-run homer among his four hits to give Minnesota their seventh straight loss.

The Tigers, who are in a battle for the wild-card, have had the Twins number this year going 10-2 in their twelve match ups.

Twins pitcher Jose Berrios finished five innings, but he gave up six runs on six hits and five walks.  Robbie Grossman and Eduardo Escobar had a couple of singles to make the game look closer than it was, but the Twins couldn't overcome the Tigers lead.

The Twins are now 49-78 on the season and will look for a better outcome tomorrow (Friday) against Toronto.
