The Gopher men's basketball team has disappointed fans for the past month and a half losing 8 of their last 9 games.  The loss of Al Nolen to a foot injury and Devoe Joseph leaving for whatever reason has proven costly.  Here's the good news, help is on the way.  The Gophers have already signed shooting guards Joe Coleman of Hopkins and Andre Hollins of Memphis, Tennessee and they have offered a scholarship to juco point guard Julian Welch from Juba CC in California.  The Gophers return Trevor Mbakwe and the combination of Ralph Sampson III and Colton Iverson to go along with 6'10 center Maurice Walker who's currently out with a torn ACL.  Coleman and Hollins are 3-star recruits and Welch could come in right away and handle the point guard job.  This team only loses Blake Hoffarber and Al Nolen.  Barring any serious injuries and departures from the program next should be a lot better.
