St. John's shocked #2-ranked St. Thomas Saturday with a 21-18 win in St. Paul. The Johnnies improve to 3-0 with the win.

St. Thomas missed a field goal as time expired, a fitting ending for a team that surrendered five turnovers in the game.

The Johnnies led the game 14-11 at the half, thanks to a touchdown run from Connor Bruns and a short touchdown scamper by Sam Sura.

Alexi Johnson hit a field goal early in the third quarter to give SJU a 17-11 edge.

After a touchdown from UST that gave them a one point edge at 18-17, Johnson struck again with a field goal for the 20-18 lead that would serve as the final.

Bruns finished the game 18-25 with 174 yards passing. Sura posted 91 yards and a touchdown on 11 attempts to pace the offense.
