The St. John's football team snuck by UW-Eau Claire Saturday 31-28 to improve to 2-0.  St. John's scored 21 straight points to lead 28-14 and withstood a late comeback attempt by Eau Claire to win.  Connor Bruns threw for 251 yards and 2 touchdowns and he ran for 45 yards for the Johnnies.  Stephen Johnson ran for 54 yards and 1 touchdown.  Rob Voshell and Max Forster each had 1 TD catch for St. John's.

The Johnnies were outgained in total yardage 397 to 362.  St. John's will begin the MIAC schedule at home against rival, St. Thomas on Saturday September 15 at 1pm.
