The Twins fell 9-3 to the Blue Jays Tuesday night at Target Field. Minnesota is now 6-7 on the season after having their three game win streak snapped.

The Twins led 2-0 heading into the top of the sixth inning thanks to an RBI double by Chris Colabello and an RBI single for Joe Mauer, but starting pitcher Phil Hughes faltered after five strong innings. Hughes allowed four runs in the sixth, all earned.

The Jays blew up reliever Jared Burton in the ninth to the tune of four runs on three walks and one hit and pulled away with the five-run win. Burton’s ERA now stands at 14.40.

The Twins and Jays meet again Wednesday night at Target Field. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10, with former Twin RA Dickey on the hill for Toronto and Mike Pelfrey for the Twins. (6:40, WJON).
