The Minnesota Wild had a significant game at the "X" last night and came away with zero points against playoff contender Chicago.

The Wild looked to be going through the motions for the first two periods as they fell behind 3-0 after two. They suddenly came to life early in the third, scoring on a Martin Havlat goal. Brent Burns also scored to cut the deficit to 3-2 with just under five minutes to play. But a bad decision by Pierre Marc-Bouchard backfired and Chicago iced the game with a two on one goal by Marion Hossa. Bouchard foolishly took himself out of the play by diving after the the puck in the offensive zone.

The loss was a tough one for the Wild who now fall to 9th place in the Western Conference. Getting zero points at home is a big blow this time of the season.
