GRAND FORKS, N.D. -- After falling behind by three goals to #1 North Dakota, the St. Cloud State Huskies men's hockey team could not complete the comeback in a 3-2 loss on Friday night.

North Dakota played like the #1 team in the nation, building a 3-0 lead heading into the third period.

SCSU finally broke through against North Dakota goalie Zane McIntyre when Ben Storm netted a power play goal midway through the final period.

Joey Benik scored on another power play goal for the Huskies with just under five minutes left in the game. But the SCSU ran out of time, losing 3-2 in regulation.

With the loss, the Huskies fall to 15-15-1 and will look to split the weekend series with North Dakota tonight at 7:00 p.m.
