DULUTH -- The SCSU men's basketball team shot lights-out in a 98-74 drubbing of the UMD Bulldogs on Saturday night.

The win snapped a three-game losing streak for the Huskies, who improved to 6-5 on the season with the impressive performance.

SCSU shot 57 percent from the field and hit nearly half of their three point attempts as they led by eight at halftime and pulled away in the second half.

Scottie Stone and Donnell Cegers scored 21 and 20 respectively, coming off the bench to provide the offense scoring sparks.

Connor Niehaus added 18 points, grabbed six rebounds and dished out five assists.

The Bulldogs were led by Brett Ervin's game-high 27 points, but it was not enough as SCSU outscored UMD 52-36 in the second half.

The Huskies hope to carry over the momentum from this confidence-building win in their next game on December 30th against Iowa Wesleyan.
