ST. CLOUD -- St. Cloud State lose a 37-31 shootout with Upper Iowa who scored with just five seconds left on the clock.

The Huskies trailed 17-7 at the half, but stormed back to tie the game at 31-31 with under three minutes remaining.

Upper Iowa running back Chris Smith was the best player on the field last night, rushing for 208 yards and three touchdowns, including the game winner.

Huskies running back Ledell White also had a three-touchdown performance on a career-high 129 yards.

St. Cloud State quarterback Nate Meyer had his breakout game, going 19-for-35 passing for 249 yards and a score and added 46 yards on the ground.

With the tough loss, the Huskies fall to 1-3 on the season and travel to Crookston next week.
