Huskies Fall Short in Quarterfinal Matchup Against Winona State 78-70
SIOUX FALLS - The St. Cloud State men's basketball team fell to Winona State University 78-70 in the quarterfinals of the NSIC Sanford Health Tournament on Sunday.
Winona State will move on to play Minnesota State University-Moorhead in the tournament semifinals.
Damarius Cruz led the Huskies with 17 points in the contest. Matt Craggs added 10 points and eight rebounds.
St. Cloud will have to wait a week to see if they make the tournament field. The Huskies are currently ranked eighth in NCAA Division II Central region and await the NCAA announcement on March 9th.
