The High School Football season begins Friday for the majority of the area schools.  Every year is different and every team is different but tradition and tradition of success remains.  After looking at the schedules and knowing what each team has back I like the prospects of St. Cloud Tech in 2012. I expect the Tigers to finish the regular season with with record of 7-1 and be the #1 seed in their newly formed section.

Here's the breakdown:

St. Cloud Tech 7-1  (Running back Jake Peterson too much for the rest of the CLC)
St. Cloud Apollo 1-7 (An improvement but not a complete turnaround)
St. Cloud Cathedral 5-3 (One less win this season but a difficult schedule)
Sauk Rapids-Rice 5-3 (I'm looking for a big turnaround for the Storm.  Improved team speed will help)
Sartell-St. Stephen 4-4 (A slight improvement under first year head coach Scott Hentges)
Rocori (5-3) (A drop-off after a great year in 2011)
