The Minnesota Golden Gopher men’s basketball team was upset by Illinois 62-49 Wednesday night at Williams Arena. The Gophers led by as many as 11 points in the game before going cold from the floor in the second half.  Minnesota has lost six of its last nine games.

Three Minnesota players scored in double-digits with Andre Hollins leading the team by scoring 15 points on 4-13 shooting. Austin Hollins and Maurice Walker each added ten points in the loss.

The Illini were led by Kendrick Nunn with 19 points, who also shot 5-7 from three-point range.

The Gophers are now 17-10 overall and 6-8 in Big Ten play.  They are at Ohio State on Saturday.
