MINNEAPOLIS -- Senior guard Andre Hollins led the Minnesota Golden Gophers to their first victory in Big Ten play this season - an 89-80 win over Rutgers on Saturday.

Hollins scored a game-high 31 points - including 7-of-10 from three-point range - in a game the Gophers desperately needed to win after starting the Big Ten portion of the schedule 0-5.

Forward Mo Walker scored 16 points and pulled down nine rebounds and guard Carlos Morris added 12 points in the win.

The win makes the Gophers 12-7 on the season and Minnesota will look to build on the victory when they travel to Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers on Monday night.
