The Minnesota Golden Gophers will head to Austin, Texas for their first NCAA Tournament game.

The Gopher men's basketball team is an 11 seed in this year's NCAA Tournament. They will face the sixth-seeded UCLA Bruins on Friday in Austin.

The Gophers (20-12) were an enigma down the stretch, defeating #1 Indiana and thrashing lowly Penn State before head-scratching losses to Nebraska and Purdue. Minnesota closed their Big Ten season with a loss to Illinois in the opening game of the Big Ten tourney.

UCLA finished second in their conference tournament and went 9-3 down the stretch during the regular season. The Bruins swept Arizona in three games this season, with the Wildcats ranked 8th, 11th and 18th from the first to third meetings respectively.
