MINNEAPOLIS -- The Minnesota Golden Gophers beat the Nebraska Cornhuskers in decisive fashion in a 60-42 win on Saturday.

The Gophers had lost to the Huskers in Lincoln on January 20th, which at the time kept Minnesota with only one win in the Big Ten and near the bottom in the conference standings.

Saturday would be a different story as forward Mo Walker led Minnesota with 19 points and eight rebounds.

Andre Hollins scored 12 points and Joey king added nine as the Gophers shot nearly 44 percent from the field.

On defense, Minnesota held Nebraska to only 16 points in the first half and pulled away from them with a 37-point second half en route to the 18-point victory.

With the win, the Gophers improve to 3-7 in the Big Ten and 14-9 overall. Minnesota will play next when they host Purdue on February 7th.
