Gophers, Dre Hollins Beat #19 Memphis

The Gopher men's basketball team defeated #19 Memphis 84-75 Friday in the consolation semifinals of the Battle 4 Atlantis Tournament in the Bahamas.  Sophomore point guard Andre Hollins scored a career high 41 points on 12-16 shooting from the field.  He becomes the first Gopher score 41 points since 1971.

Rodney Williams was the only player besides Hollins to score in double figures and he had 13 points.  Minnesota was 6-14 from 3-point range including Hollins' 5-5.  The Gophers improve to 5-1 and will play for the consolation title against Stanford at 2:30 (CT) Saturday afternoon.  Stanford beat the Gophers in the NIT finals in March.
