The Gopher men's basketball team defeated Fairfield of Connecticut 67-57 Thursday night to improve to 3-0.  Both Minnesota and Fairfield turned the ball over too much.  The Gophers had 23 turnovers while Fairfield had 20.  Trevor Mbakwe led the Gophers with 20 points and 10 rebounds and he did most of his damage from the free throw line where he was 16-18.  Andre Hollins added 12 points for Minnesota.  The Gophers were 27-31 from the free throw line (87%).

Minnesota will host Mount St. Mary's at 7pm Monday, pregame on AM 1390-the Fan at 6:30.
